Abia Meets Türkiye

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Investment Promotion and Public-Private Partnership (PPP) High Chief J.N. Green-Amakwe met with Mr. Erdal Fatih Tozoğlu, the Commercial Councillor of the Republic of Türkiye, on Friday, October 24, 2025, in Abuja, At the Turkish Embassy.

This meeting was part of the preparations for the Abia–Türkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition, which is set to occur from November 25 to 27, 2025, at the International Conference Center in Umuahia.

During their discussion, the focus was on enhancing economic and trade relations between Abia State and Türkiye, emphasizing a mutual commitment to fostering investment opportunities.

They examined potential collaboration in sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, infrastructure, textiles, technology, and the development of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

The Special Adviser reiterated the Gov. Otti's Led Administration's commitment to creating a favorable environment for investors and establishing robust international partnerships that promote economic growth and industrialization.

He highlighted that the forthcoming summit serves as a strategic venue to present Abia’s investment potential and to link local businesses with Turkish investors and manufacturers.

In his remarks, Mr. Erdal Fatih Tozoğlu, the Commercial Councillor of the Republic of Türkiye, commended the Abia State Government for its visionary leadership and proactive investment drive. He expressed optimism that the Abia–Türkiye Investment Summit and Product Exhibition would open new channels for bilateral trade and technological collaboration, deepening economic ties between Türkiye and Abia State.
